Child Development Homes

The Child Development Homes (CDH) Program is based out of the CDC and provides care in a warm, family setting, in government quarters, by Navy Certified providers. Our emphasis is on quality care for children, provided by highly trained professionals. Childcare providers and their family members undergo thorough annual background checks, medical examinations and monthly home inspections. Providers attend training in all areas of child development.

  • Small group care with a home like atmosphere offering full-time and part-time care.
  • Developmentally appropriate learning activities as well as home-life experiences.
  • Nutritious meals and snacks are served.
  • Consistent and individual care provided by the same adult.
  • CDH direct subsidy program is available for eligible families.

If you are interested in becoming a CDH provider, please contact the CDC for details on training.
