Movie Theaters

Both theaters offer reduced ticket prices for movies shown a few weeks after their initial release in commercial theaters. These movies are provided by the Navy Motion Picture Service. Some movies will only be shown for a week, but then they will come back for a second run for a longer period of time.

The Gateway Auditorium is located on the corner of Flor and Third Ave as you enter from the Rota Gate. For movie listings you can visit the website or pick up a flyer from the theater. The theater is open all year long with a 360-seat capacity, snack bar that sells candy, popcorn, nachos, hot dogs and beverages. It is also used as a training facility complete with AV & sound support.

Our Drive-In Theater is located on Flor Ave. near the Puerto Gate and is the only drive-in theater on a Naval installation in Europe. It has a capacity of 500 vehicles with an additional seating area that holds 200 people. Other features include a snack bar and BBQ area. Movies are shown at dark on Friday and Saturday nights and on special occasion/event days. Most premieres open first at the Drive-In Theater and then show at the Gateway Theater.
